This year’s meeting was held at Ascot, and the faculty included some of the biggest names in the world for knee and ACL surgery
There were some take home messages for me that I will further embed in my practice:
a. The importance of conservative treatment in menisceal tears in adults over the age of 40
b. The use of quadriceps tendon graft – there is now sufficient experience and evidence on its biomechanical strength, the low morbidity of the donor site and its suitability as an alternative to other autografts.
c. Injury prevention programs have starting emerging in UK- I will work on introducing such a program for the people of Kettering and the surrounding area
